We had such a wonderful and relaxing time at the Ace, it's definitely my new favorite Palm Springs destination hotel!! Will be back for sure. The year’s most notable win is perhaps that of Virginia’s Danica Roem, whose victory over 11-term Republican incumbent Bob Marshall will make her the first openly transgender person to be seated in a U.S.
The Ace is close to the main strip in downtown Palm Springs, so it's perfect if you want a night on the town. It was a lot of fun and my husband really enjoyed himself too. While I may have been one of the few sober ones there, I didn't feel awkward or out of place. They had a great dj spinning good tunes and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It wasn't wild, like a Vegas day-club or anything, but it was lively. The record player and records were a very cool little touch. I loved the bed!! The provided shower products and toiletries were very high quality (my husband fell in love with the Rudy's bodywash :) ). If you can swing it, get a room with a patio and fireplace! We spent both nights just hanging out by the fire, listening to music and watching the stars. The landscaping is gorgeous and I loved the decor.

There are random fire places and couches, plus picnic tables scattered about, so it's very social and easy to mingle with other guests in all these public spaces. It's set up around a large, open courtyard with two pools (the main, and a quieter one), as well as a public hang out space called the commune, plus a dog park. The property itself is so unique and "instagrammable". The bar is also very cool and the drinks (per my husband), were delicious. The menu is a bit small, but everything is quite tasty.
I'm a vegetarian and I found plenty of options. We had dinner and breakfast at Kings Highway, which was very good. From the gentleman who checked us in, to the pool side waiters, everyone was very accommodating. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. However, it turned out to be the perfect weekend. I didn't want to be a buzz kill, laying by the pool sober. Initially, I was a little apprehensive because the Ace has a very trendy, almost cult-like following, and is known to be quite social. Not wanting to make a bed and do dishes, we opted to stay at the Ace. I am currently 7 months pregnant so we were debating about staying in a house or going the resort route. My husband and I wanted a quick little getaway for the weekend. I left the table feeling renewed (sorta how every massage should feel.) I will return for more work with Alicia ! For those looking to get out of LA for the day, or seeking a desert oasis for the weekend this is it. Massage is a very personal thing and I'm quick to pick up on the energy of other. Not only did she focus on my problem areas as we had discussed in our consultation, but her touch was incredible. My friend and I booked a companion massage "Good Together." Both of our massage therapist were great, but I must rave about Alicia as she is the therapist who worked on me. Thank you Raul for the great service!! After a few cocktails and hours in the sun we opted to check out the Feel Good Spa. Try the Cold Chicken Sandwich with fries.
CASEY GAY MASSAGE PALM SPRINGS FULL
Full service for cocktails, beer, and food is available. Solid crowd for being a Monday but wasn't too busy. Upon arriving at ACE Desire at the desk also informed us that the Day Pass fee is waived when you book a spa service. Calling before hand we found that ACE offers day passes to non-hotel guest which provides access to both the pool, and spa. When Monday afternoon plans to take an out of town guest to the beach got ruined by rain, we jumped in the car and headed to the desert.
